Incompetence has a name
Sep. 5th, 2007 06:44 pmAnd in my case, it's name is O., my Unit Head. Dude can't communicate for shit and the longer my former boss is gone, the more apparent it becomes that he had no fucking clue what Ariane was doing. Countless times in the past two weeks he came into our office to ask us about something and our reply was usually along the lines of "We don't know, Ariane was always doing that". He's been trying to make our processes easier, but has only made them more complicated. Shirley and I had a meeting with him. We both had experience with the subject, he didn't. We tried to make suggestions. He made like he agreed with me to pacify me, then proceeded to change his mind and not tell me, 'cause he can't communicate for shit. He's also talking to everybody else in the unit about that specific process, but none of these people have had anything to do with it so far. I mean, I guess you could say that he's trying to get new ideas, but all I'm seeing is him trying to do everything the exact opposite of how Ariane was doing things. I just think it's childish. Shirley and I weren't avid fans of the old processes and very much in favour of uncomplicating things, but I feel like we're going from one extreme to another. In two and a half weeks I'm gonna give notice, no matter what. I'm so looking forward to that...
