Bad Lamp karma
Oct. 30th, 2007 10:51 amI have bad lamp karma. My desk lamp that I bought last december is not working. I changed the light bulb and it's still not working, meaning it's probably the transformer that blew and I have to buy a new lamp. Guess I have to go lamp shopping this weekend. Darn Ikea!
At work, we finally got the new furniture we ordered back in July. Funny that Shirley never even got to see it, because she had her last day at work last Tuesday. I miss her. Work has become even more boring now that she's not around to talk to. We're planning to have drinks soon, 'cause she still has my HIMYM DVD's and just to talk.
The only positive thing about the new furniture is that we got the afternoon off yesterday, because we couldn't work while they were transporting our old furniture out and the new one in. Other than that, it takes some getting used to. The movers were apparently still incapable of reading the floor plan. My printer is not where it was supposed to be. My office feels kind of cramped now. My new desk is also a lot smaller. But on the positive side of things: only 31 1/2 days at work left.
