Death and taxes
Mar. 2nd, 2007 11:29 pmTime passes so darn quickly. It's the beginning of march and I haven't even started on doing my taxes. And march 31 is looming in the distance. But as I discussed this yesterday with the girls from my box aerobic class, it really is all February's fault for being so short. Those 3 days make all the difference! My goal this weekend is to get all my things together in one place, so when I do start, I won't have to go look for things.
Tomorrow I will go to the outskirts of the city to a certain mall to see if I can find a nice stool for my bedroom and a couple of other nice things to decorate the appartment. That means I have to get up earlier than normal on a Saturday *sigh*.
Work is always especially stressful on Friday. There's a weekly deadline and people keep giving us stuff super late, which means we have to rush to make it in time. I do hope this changes. My boss didn't have time for lunch because of work and last week I had to postpone my lunchbreak just that we could make it. I really do feel sorry for my boss, she's under a lot of stress. And she can't afford to miss any meals, because she was slim before, but with the whole merger crap she's lost quite a bit of weight, her bones are visible and her clothes are loose.
Because our computer systems are not yet merged, we get to take walks on Friday afternoon, delivering confidential stuff personally. I like that, a little fresh air feels good on Friday afternoon. As long as the weather is okay, I'll gladly do those.
