Just My Luck

Yesterday morning, the lamp on my nightstand stopped working. What a great start into the week. So I came home, changed the lightbulb and the lamp was working again. For about 2 hours, but just as I wanted to turn it off, there was a spark and it went out again. And now it's fried, 'cause I changed the bulb again and it's not working. So for the time being my desk lamp is on my nightstand. The cord is a bit short, it's a serious danger to clumsly little me. I need new nightstand lamps and a DVR asap. Tomorrow I'll call my mom. Hopefully, she's up for some shopping with me, otherwise I'm kind of screwed. I should be able to get Monday and Tuesday off, I still have 7 workdays vacation left.
