Done, excited and nervous
Oct. 2nd, 2006 09:53 pmI'm done packing, already checked in for tomorrow and now I should slowly simmer down, so I can catch a couple of hours of sleep. I have to get up at 5:45 tomorrow, so I can leave by 6:15 so I'll be at the airport at 6:45.
Yesterday, I had my parents over for dinner. I cooked them potato gratin and Fleischkäse. The whole thing is very simple, yet very tasty, with the bonus of an easy to clean pan. My dear dad hung up all my pictures. Now my apartment looks and feels a lot more homely. And my mom couldn't repress all of her urges to clean. It's so strange, I'd have never thought she'd be the type to come to visit one of her children's apartments and clean. Of course, we had a really nice time hanging out and talking. I'm gonna miss them, 'cause I'm not gonna be seing them for 3 weeks (my vacation and their vacation).
