I'm home sick today. I have a cold and everything aches. Now, I actually feel much better because of Neocitran and the 5 hours additional sleep I've had. Of course, I could have gone to work today if I had to and suffered. But I think, a sickness is your body's way of telling you that you need to slow down and I'm sure I'll be back to being healthy again much sooner this way. Being sick is always annoying, I hate feeling weak. I could have stayed home yesterday, but I really, really didn't want to miss my weekly workout. Last week, I missed it because of a stupid work event. Not that it was completly horrible, but why do these things always have to take place on Thursday? I have a life, thank you. I didn't want this fucking merger and therefore I didn't need a "getting to know eachother" event.
I'm still torn about the merger. On one hand, I think I could give the new job/team a try, 'cause at this time, we don't really know a lot about how it's gonna be, but on the other hand I see chaos and overtime in my future. They also told us that our Team would have to move twice in a short period of time. Gotta love that. Announcing a merger is easy, organising everything takes a long time. Sometimes I really wish they would think about these things before announcing. But no, in the current economy everything is shortterm, like there is no need to have some sort of a longterm plan. Morons! In any case, I started updating my CV. Basically, all I have to do is describe what I do at my current job and I'm good to go.
